Our Ethos-

Providing oppurtunities and new experiences for the local population is integeral to the function of Cooper Studios. We specifically want to aid young people in Durham to get into the art sector (whether employment, college or art foundation), by supplementing their involvment in the arts.

We do this by providing them with a studio/hub from which we launch projects that they can get involved with and even provide work experience oppurtunities for them to try out new things from curating an exhibtion to helping build installations, testing their newly learnt carepntry skills.

We also provide exhibitons and workshops which are free to the local community to attend. More importnatly our events act as a chance for many people to make connections and friends in the art, theatre and film world giving them the hand they might need to get more involved in what they are really interested in.

Work Experience-

On the right hand side are listed some work experience oppurtunities for young aspiring people to get involved in providing they are between the ages of 16 and 19, either in or out of education and are not currently studying at Durham University.
