Theatre

Dystopia

During this two week period we are looking for some volunteers to help us install the studios interior and then finally decorate making it into a professional, comfy and practical art studio. The basic tasks will be marking out materials, painting walls, wood work (for anyone who is up for it), putting up shelves but also important design work ensuring the layout and decor function and promote our ethos. 10am - 5pm (times are flexible).

Phea Eades Jones:
Dystopia Co-Producer

I was excited when I was given the opportunity by Cooper Studios to become involved in Dystopia, having only produced a show once before. Creating an immersive experience was so different to anything I’d approached previously, but with help of the studio, I had everything I needed to ensure the success of the project. I attended a school of performing arts for 10 years before going to Durham university, therefore maintaining an involvement with theatre was of crucial importance to me. Producing Dystopia meant that I was involved in organising rehearsals, setting up venues, sourcing props and making sure the production ran smoothly. I’d definitely be keen to get involved with any other of Cooper Studios’ ventures in the future.
